Spotted in a shop window in Devizes just before Christmas.

Flat Boy

The developments in and around Northgate and Snuff Streets in Devizes have been enhanced with some attractive sculptures and public planting. This is one of two ‘cut-out’ street scenes of children playing by the car park. The snow just before Christmas made a particularly good contrast.

HSBC

The outside of the HSBC in Devizes has some amazing carvings both at the entrance (as  seen here) and on the sides of the building. I’m not sure whether it’s stonework or moulded plasterwork. Whichever it is, it’s stunning.

Wadworths Brewery

Wadworths Brewery dominates one end of the high street in Devizes.

Times must be hard when even the local second hand emporium is closing down and literally everything is for sale.

Snuff Said

It was the unusual tiling on the first floor of this building on the high street in Devizes which made me go back and take a photo, but then I realised as I was taking it that I was also looking at a dying breed of specialist shop.
