Friday Bench: Beacon Hill Park
At first I was drawn to the way the early morning light was shining through and on this bench, seeming to almost be returning it to its molten origins. And then I found this rather poignant plaque:

A mural depicting some of the key touristy elements of Victoria. The little ferry boats always made us smile and it’s good to see public planting highlighted for once!
I wonder how often this bench gets used. This was a contemporary building (and bench) between historic buildings in the James Bay area of Victoria. Despite its looks, I didn’t think the building or bench jarred with their neighbours.
Just 2 questions: where have these come from and why are they for sale? Seen on Government Street in Victoria in August.
