At first I was drawn to the way the early morning light was shining through and on this bench, seeming to almost be returning it to its molten origins. And then I found this rather poignant plaque:
Just part of the totem pole at Victoria’s Beacon Hill Park, which was the world’s tallest in 1956.
A mural depicting some of the key touristy elements of Victoria. The little ferry boats always made us smile and it’s good to see public planting highlighted for once!
I wonder how often this bench gets used. This was a contemporary building (and bench) between historic buildings in the James Bay area of Victoria. Despite its looks, I didn’t think the building or bench jarred with their neighbours.
I found this picture more interesting than the one taken from the spot indicated!
