Beautiful #hellstrip planting #Denver style with a carefully chosen mix of native plants, plus ones that are familiar to me, all served with a hefty dose of #xeriscaping as the Denver area only has 15 inches of rain per year. I loved the use of #sculpture roadside too and that glimpse of terracotta wall serves as a neat foil to the garden itself. When I was little all I wanted to have when I grew up was a swimming pool, forgetting the practicalities of needing a house. Now I'm a grown up (of sorts) with a house, but no pool. Perhaps a swimming pond might do instead? Spittle spotting... help researchers prevent deadly Xylella take a hold in the UK by spotting which plants are home to the bacterium's carrier, the sap sucking froghopper aka spittlebug. Xylella isn't here yet, but this study will help scientists to see where the spittlebugs are, which plants they call home, and what plans need to be put in place. A lovely show garden which highlighted the work of the Greenfingers #charity and how restful the colour green is for a garden space.
