We saw plenty of yarnstorming (aka yarnbombing) in Yorkshire recently. The best was on Saltburn pier, where all kinds of Yorkshire objects and phrases had been captured in wool.
It seems this is a regular, mystery appearance on Saltburn pier 🙂
We’ve seen plenty of memorial benches and impromptu tributes here at Sign of the Times, but dedicated vases for flowers is a rather touching first.
A trip in the snow fit to celebrate my brother-in-law’s birthday – late December 2014. Happy New Year everyone.
Whitby has 2 beacons at the harbour entrance. The one on the other side (aka East Beacon) is bright red. I was intrigued by the mixture of the historical structure of the beacon itself and the modern-day touch in the form of the solar panel. This looked like it was broken towards the top left hand side, whilst the beacon itself was standing firm albeit a little rusty in places. So much for the standard of construction of modern day stuff!
