Friday Bench: Where Next?

Chippenham Town Council's bench survey

A slightly different bench this week courtesy of the latest missive from our town council.

I think it’s time to revive the Ex Bench in the Donkey Field…

Update: It’s been revived! Photo coming soon…

I haven’t joined in any WordPress memes before, but their recent invitation to join a worldwide 5 kilometre walk last week struck a chord.

I need to get more active, and the email mentioned Map My Walk. Is there a suitable routeΒ on there for Chippenham? It turned out there was.

I’d love to live somewhere where I can just step out the door into wonderful scenery, preferably with mountains or the sea, or both. Sadly living in Chippenham means urban walking from my door, or a drive elsewhere. At least IΒ now have a 5 kilometre route with takes in 2 out of the 3 main open spaces the town has to offer.

Last Tuesday dawned bright and sunny and with the trees at their peak colour, I really had no excuse not to go.
