Found in the garden of the Old Road Tavern on New Road last week. There’s an enormous apple tree there absolutely laden with fruit 😮
My niece’s quiz sheet asked what the colour of these buds are. We couldn’t quite decide – how about you?
An orchard scene not usually photographed – blossom or fruiting time are most common. But I liked the shape of the apple trees and the way they’d been pruned into similar gnarled shapes in contrast to the straighter trees (acting as a windbreak?) on the horizon.
